" On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me-
2 turtle doves
and a partridge in a pear tree"
Here's my Second Day of Christmas lunch, which was sent to work with my husband ( my true love). He got a simple ham and cheese sandwich, some veggie crisps, and blackberries. The turtle doves are cut from cheese with a cookie cutter. I realize this lunch is a little "cheese heavy" but hey, Christmas comes but once a year!
I am not eating anything so cheese heavy as that today - I'll be eating very light, since my true love and I are going out for my birthday dinner tonight to my favorite restaurant! (My birthday is actually Sunday, but it works out better for us to go out tonight) The restaurant is called Tucano's - it's brazilian food, my absolute favorite!
I hope you had a chance to look through the Holiday Ho-Ho Hop yesterday. There are lots of great Christmasy and wintery ideas throughout! I'm going to take a few of the ideas I saw there and try to make a veggie and fruit relish tray for Christmas Eve - bento style 🙂 If you missed it, you can always go back and hop through it any time! Just go back to my Partridge in a Pear Tree Bento post from yesterday, scroll down to the bottom, and continue on through the blog hop 🙂
These 12 Days of Christmas cookie cutters are some old ones I found at a second-hand store, but I actually found them on amazon.com! So here are some of them, along with other things I used to make this lunch:
