Hi Everyone! It's the first Friday of the month, so it's time for another Fancy Sandwich Friday!
This lunch was made with my little grandson in mind. He's 17 months old, and he loves to eat sandwiches! I made him a koala sandwich using my CuddlePalz sandwich cutter set. If you are thinking of buying just one tool to help you make cute lunches, then this is the one to get! You can make dozens and dozens of different cute animal sandwiches with this super creative tool. I have so much fun playing around with this - the only hard part is deciding what to make 🙂 Here is a video so you can see how easy it is to use, and some of the many ways you can use it:
My koala is a ham and cheese sandwich, and since it's December, I decided to give him a little Santa hat made from cheese and tomato. It was really easy to make:
How to Make a Santa Hat from Tomato and Cheese
supplies:
a tiny grape tomato
white cheese, such as provolone or mozzarella
a circle cutter roughly the diameter of the tomato, or a little larger - (a large straw could work)
a very tiny circle cutter, or a straw
a smal sharp knife
1. Cut the end off the tomato so it has a flat surface
2. Add the larger cheese circle to the cut side of the tomato
3. Cut a small slit in the top of the tomato with the knife. Slip the tiny cheese circle in the slit to make the top of the hat.
Now it's your turn! I want to see your fancy sandwiches! If you are new to Fancy Sandwich Friday, you can read about how this works here, on my Fancy Sandwich Friday page.
If you've been here before, go ahead and add your link. Feel free to add several, if you'd like!

Kim @ Mom, Can I Have That?
OMG! I have never seen anything so cute in my life. You are so creative. I would have never thought of making anything like that. My son would really appreciate that. Maybe it would be a great way to introduce him to cooking? He already enjoys helping me bake. We will have to start simply or I fear that I will have a photo for the Fail Blog! Hahaha!

Oh man, I've had many that should've gone on Fail Blog, ha ha! But making bento lunches is a fun way to get kids involved in cooking/food creating. I absolutely love it!
