I recently ordered this cute skeleton cutter set by R&M from Amazon, and it got here super fast - I got it only two days after I placed the order! As soon as I opened the package, I used it to make this fun sandwich.
Here are the supplies I used to make it. I originally thought I'd make the sandwich topped with a white cheese skeleton, but I thought it looked so cute just out of plain bread - so I ended up not using the white cheese that's in the picture.
I first cut the bottom of the sandwich with the main skeleton head cutter, then I spread it with my sandwich filling ( this time it was tuna). Next, I used the skeleton head cutter to cut some orange cheese and I laid it on top of the tuna. Then I cut the top bread slice from the skeleton head cutter, and this time I used the facial feature cutters to add a little personality. This time I made a cute and happy skeleton, but I think I'm going to make a spooky skeleton sandwich bento next time 🙂 In the rest of the lunch there is some Pirate's Booty around the sandwich, some purple carrots, sugar snap peas, yellow tomato, and half an apple cut with a checkerboard design. You can find the link to the apple tutorial on my Tutorial page - scroll down to find it in the section titled "helpful bento tutorials from other sites". The lunchbox I used was one of my easy lunch boxes, and the cloth napkin comes from my Etsy shop.
Halloween is probably my favorite time of year to make bentos - there are just so many fun ideas for food! And there are so many fun cookie cutters, picks, and other bento tools to make them. I have collected my favorite ones here ( just click on the photos to see more info about them) :
