Disclosure: I have received products from Fit & Fresh in exchange for sharing them with my readers, but all opinions expressed here are my own.
Many of you already know I am a big fan of Fit & Fresh products. I have been using them for years - even before I started this blog! Today I'd like to show you one of their new products, the Bento Lunch Kit .
This bento box has three roomy compartments. The largest one holds about 3.5 cups, which is big enough for a pretty hearty sandwich or a good sized salad. In this lunch ( which is for my husband) I packed my Walnut Chicken Salad with Cranberries.
The two other compartments each hold 1 cup, which was plenty of room to pack some fruit and some vegetables. This Bento Lunch Kit also comes with 2 separate lidded containers that fit in the 2 small compartments, which will be great for times when I want to pack something that I don't want to leak ( like yogurt), or something that I don't want to pick up moisture form the other foods ( like crackers or nuts).
My favorite thing about Fit & Fresh containers are the ice packs that snap into the lids. That way you're able to keep your food chilled, or if you don't need them you can just leave them out. I have a LOT of different sized Fit & Fresh containers, so I have a lot of little ice packs, and I've never lost one yet. My secret is to keep them in a gallon sized ziplock bag in my freezer, so I always know where I can find even the smallest ice pack when I need it.
* Pro tip - another great use for the little ice packs: soothing injuries! We have used them on sprained ankles, knees, wrists, and to take the swelling down from puffy eyes. I love them because they don't drip when they start to thaw, like a bag of ice would.
This Bento Lunch Kit also comes with it's own insulated lunch bag, which I love. And this one is MINE! I usually only need lunch bags for my husband and son, who take theirs to work. I also pack lunches and snacks for myself and my youngest son, who attends online high school - but we don't normally need lunch bags.
However... I do like the idea of having a little lunch cooler for myself. What would I use it for? Well, I like packing my lunch and a snack to keep on hand for the day ahead - it helps me stick to my fitness goals. This Bento lunch Kit is big enough to hold my lunch and a snack, which I can grab and carry with me in the cooler bag when I need to be out of the house. If I keep my healthy food with me, I won't be tempted to eat things that I shouldn't! And it's definitely not for the boys - look how pretty it is:
So my husband gets to use this bento box ( packed in a plain lunch bag) today, but I'm taking it tomorrow!

Very Pretty. Maybe Fit & Fresh could provide some kits for a giveaway? I see lots of these giveaways promoted on FaceBook.
