Today's lunch is a chicken and black bean burrito. When I rolled it up and cut it in half, I couldn't help thinking it would make a great grave! So I added slices of purple potato as tombstones, with cheese letters.
I also carved a mini bell pepper into a jack-o-lantern with my craft knife, and filled it with some light cream cheese - it was really good! I added some asparagus, tomatoes, pomegranate seeds, blackberries, and kiwi stars.
I have to tell you something funny - right after I took this picture, I carried this bento across the room to put the lid on it to save it for lunch. I tripped, and the whole thing got dumped on the kitchen counter! I just scooped it up, separating the fruit from the rest, and put the whole mess back in the lunch box. When it was time for lunch, I ate the fruit and the pepper and microwaved the rest. The whole thing looked like it had been in the garbage disposal, but it tasted good just the same. Boy was I glad that happened after I took the picture!
