Here is my first bento using the goodies I bought at Ichiban Kan in San Francisco last week. I was so excited to pack my husband a lunch this morning! It is in a two tier box with lettuce on the bottom, and the top has taco meat, cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, and in the dressing bottle is french dressing mixed with hot sauce. There's a snack box on the side with veggies, cashews, and cottage cheese dip.
Simple, but so satisfying to pack everything in its own little compartment. It's a good feeling to organize things, even a lunch!
But it did look a little too plain, so I added a turkey made of sweet potato, purple potato, and carrot. I THOUGHT I was using a turkey cutter that I got at Hobby Lobby, but my daughter pointed out that it's actually a santa head! So I started turning around other mini cutters that I have, and wondering what else I could make them into... time will tell!
